Question booting nodes from server via pxe - help needed

Hello,
I'm trying to setup a fc6 based server that will boot a number (~9) diskless nodes via pxe. I think I have it more-or-less sorted except for one problem.

I need to edit the initrd.img file from booting from local (BOOT=local) to boot over nfs (BOOT=nfs). I don't know how to do this? I have been unable to unpack the initrd.img file too.

The nodes try to boot but they fail when the boot process tries to find local.

Can anyone help, I have been at this for a while and I haven't found anything to help, or I haven't realised it if I have.

Thanks,
Phil

Hello,
I think I have found what I need...

http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/StatelessLinux

I have a small cluster that boots over PXE but it runs old Debian, and we are updating to new Fedora as an experiment as we are getting a much bigger cluster soon. Its been a long time since we set it up and its all rather fuzzy. The above site looks like it will be very helpful.

Cheers,
Phil
