ASUS CDRW not working after kernel upgrade to 2.6.7

Hi guys, hope you could me here! ;-)

After i read that that there is some vulnerability on kernel 2.6.6 release, i did a 2.6.7 kernel upgrade, compilation went fine, but after that my machine were having trouble shuting down freezes on "md0" something, and worst my asus cdrw cant be recognized by the system. i have usb entry on modprobe.conf, scd0 is present in the list of devices and dmesg returns a valid entry.

anyone experienced this one?

FC2 no longer uses HD#-scsi-ide so make sure that is not setup on boot or in a configuration file. You should also upgrade cdrtools package.

there is a ACPI and USB bug on 2.6.7

' have to wait for the patch.
