After FC2 installation problems

Hi, all!
I am a very new to Linux world, but had to install Fedora Core 2 on Dell GX260 PC with 512 RAM. It installed succefully, but after reboot I have 2 problems:
1. It is telling me that it cannot start XWindows due to: no video bios modes for chosen depth, which is strange because Anaconda installer had no problems recognizing monitor and video card and providing visual interface.
2. It is asking for login name, and I do not remember the default login name on the setup screens, I do remember password though.

Any help will be appreciated!

Not sure on the first, but as for the second, did you create a regular user during setup?

Try logging in as root.
