Upgrading Gnome


I know it is not stable and was just release but can I simply upgrade my version of Gnome from 2.14 to the latest 2.16? I know Debian likes to stay stable and if that means running the older versions, they do. I would just like to throw this on a test box for fun? Can I APT-GET INSTALL or UPGRADE?

Looks like you can't use apt-get just yet due to GTK+ changes still required. Here's a link to the status in Debian. As soon as they're in experimental, you could upgrade by pinning to the experimental repos. Not sure how hard it would be to compile yourself from source...
