UnLoad a module -- modprobe -r error

Module can be loaded at boot time, when module name added in /etc/modules file.
Are there any conf file for which modules will be loaded when the system start?

lsmod list out the active modules, if I want to remove a module, I would get error:

Code:
#modprobe -r module_name
#FATAL: module module_name is in use

if you have set CONFIG_MODULE_FORCE_UNLOAD when the kernel was compiled, you can remove the modules using `rmmod -f modulename`,but
it's not safe to remove that way.

Try removing the module that you don't want to use from /etc/modules file,to prevent the module from loading after next reboot.

User defined module could be added in /etc/modules file, will be loaded at boot time.

For other modules, it could possible to edit the /etc/modprobe.d/aliases file, replace the module_name with off for my case. Not sure if there is such conf file in other distributions.

such command NOT commonly used

Live OS should have all drivers, don't worry about installation
and so you dun need to use xterm and so the command.
