touchpad in my laptop

Hi,
I have problems configuring X. The touchpad in my laptop
doesn't work properly. I can navigate the pointer, hovewer, when I double-click on the touch pad, it doesn't
act as a left mouse-button.
What should I add to the configuration file?
thanks

I'm pulling this from some older documentation, so I'm not sure if it'll work but try this:

Quote:
Although the touchpad on a laptop computer emulates a 2-button PS/2 mouse as the default behavior, the tpconfig package enables full control of the device. For example, setting OPTIONS="--tapmode=0" in /etc/default/tpconfig will disable pesky "click by tap" behavior.
Maybe post just the section of your xorg.conf or XFree86.conf file that deals with your mouse as well. You may need to adjust the driver, or add some options like:

Option "MaxTapTime" "180"

To register a tap as a click.
