system crashes on logout from kde

I'm running Sarge and there is this little issue: the system freezes up, needs reset, on logout from kde (come to think of it it happened using gdm too..).
Anyone seen this or know of a fix?
Of course I just avoid logging out of kde, don't really need to but if anyone know of a solution..

Have you looked at Libranet 2.8.1 support database or asked at libranet forum? They have more experience with libranet2.8.1/sarge. Good luck.

real time priority is already off.
I think i have a kde installation with exclusively Sarge packages.
I could try the kde 3.4 from backports.org

And thanks, I will try the libranet forum. Because I'm not changing anything major because of this error: everything else works fine.

divukman you were on to something: I disabled the whole sound system in kde and the problem disappeared.
Good enough, I don't need the kde sound system..

I don't know.
There is something that prevents it from connecting to the sound server, some mismatch between packages.
I could try kde 3.4 from backports, it's just that the kde 3.3.2 from sarge is fast and works well, --no need to change something that works fine.
