Shut Down button is missing

hi

I have lenny with Gnome, but the Shut Down icon is missing.
what's wrong and howto solve this problem ?

I assume that you mean that the shutdown icon is missing from the top panel on your GUI screen.

Position your cursor in the top panel of the screen and right click > Add to Panel > Quit

This will place the Quit icon and menu in your panel.

I found it:

it's unser system -> administration -> login window -> local -> Menu Bar
Show Actions menu
