I've been using slack and deb for quite some time now. Some things are a peace of cake and some things I still need you guys (which normally always solves the problem).
When I was using win there was no question. Just using the latest release and had all my stuff in there. Since I switched to linux some things have changed. I use two (deb and slack) distro's since slack is fun in the 'hands on, do it yourself' and deb is just smooth and brilliant with apt. Some apps I got running in deb and visa versa (should be working in both but I'm not good enough yet
)
I do have some things that bother me. I can use my home dir by just mounting it in either distro, no prob. But it doesn't seem to work so easy with, say, evolution mail. I don't want half my mail in deb and half in slack. There are loads of progs that I use in both which I like to use the same files. Is it save to 'cross-use' these config files and how to set it up. A lot of users on the board use more then one distro. How do you handle this or do you just use one distro for daily use and one for fun?
Regards
