"Segmentation Fault" with xmms or rhythmbox

I am using debian 3.1 unstable, kernel 2.6.16-1-k7, IceWM.

I just installed rhythmbox, via "aptitude install rythmbox" but I get a "Segmentation Fault" everytime I try to run it. I also get the same error when I try to run xmms - which is especially odd because I've been using xmms for years with no problems. It doesn't matter if I'm logged in as root or user.

I am now also getting segmentaion faults with gxine.

Could this have to do with the 2.6.16-1-k7 kernel? I did not have this problem before I installed that kernel.
