Problems uninstalling OSS.

Alright, I'm trying to uninstall OSS so I can install ALSA

So I assume the first line of business would be to remove whatever OSS modules I can. From what I gather in lsmod, via82cxxx is the only thing I need to remove. I go into modconf and try to find the thing and remove it, but modconf doesn't seem to even have it enabled (maybe I missed it?). So I try /sbin/rmmod -f via82cxxx. It seemingly works, so I reboot. Yet when I try lsmod again, it's still there. I don't have hotplug installed, so I don't think it could be autodetected or anything. How can I get rid of this pesky OSS mod?

I guess the best question though would be exactly what do I need to do, assuming a fairly fresh install, to uninstall OSS, for I could be missing something.

Here is my lsmod.
