Out of the loop, couple quick questions

Hey all. I've been out of the loop for a while, but going come back to Debian.

When I go to install Debian testing (apt-get), does it now install Gnome 2.10?

Also, should I install X.org over XFree86? I'm not familure with the differences of the two packages, if any. I'm doing to do a little 3D gaming, so I'm not sure if one is better than the other for that.

Thanks!

apt-get install gnome
apt-get install xserver-xorg

or just do aptitude and use the search function

oh if gnome 2.10 isn't in the test (not sure) just add the unstable source

Ya know, question 1 at least could have been answered by going to Debian's home page. Question 2 could probably have been answered in the same way.

At least try an make an effort.

Hope it's working now. But like XavierP said, make an effort.

I'm getting this error at boot now:

apm: BIOS version 1.2 Flags 0x03 (Driver version 1.16ac)
apm: disabled - APM is not SMP safe.

What does that mean? i have an SMP kernel installed, because I have a dual CPU setup.

Ok so APM = Advanced Power Managememt. I did some searching and found that out. I'm not sure what I did but that error doesn't come up now. :S
