Question No sound from frond audio pane

I use debian squeeze.
But there is no sound from frond audio pane. The back audio output works well.
Need help to resolve such a problem.

In addition,
1)I do have enabled the front playback option from alsamixer,
2)The front audio output works well under windows OS(but, I use debian as my favor)

Thanks.

Tick the "headphones" option in the config tabs. Front audio is usually reserved for headphones. Dunno why, but apparently it is...

Go to the Switches or Options tab and find the headphones box. Tick it, and try again. Do slide down the master volume beforehand, will you What other options does the Device dropbox give you, try those too...

but there is only one switch in switches tab: Swap Center/LEF.
Yes, there is only one checkbox about headphone, it lays within Preferences list. I did have ticked it, if not, there will be no slider for headphone volume. Even though i redo this, i still can't get any sound from front audio connector.
