KDE in debian refuses Dutch

I'm running debian sid with KDE 3.2.1 and installed dutch language support. In control centre it's easy to swith to ' Netherlands' and ' dutch' but for some reason non of the changes work.
Any clues on what can cause this problem?

Regards
