Just a Hi from a new member :-)
Just a short post to say Hi to everyone. I have used Red Hat, and Suse in the past, settling on Ubuntu about a year or so ago. With the release of Squeeze I thought it was time to move onto Debian, as to be honest whilst Ubuntu is easy to use, it is nice to be able to cut your teeth on problems and figure things out, thereby gaining (hopefully) a better understanding of what is under the hood. So far, yes I have found Debian Squeeze easy to install (unlike earlier versions), and am just starting to experiment with backports which seem to be along the same lines as Ubuntu's ppa's. I have a lot to learn about the source of Ubuntu - but am already fixed on remaining Debian and changing not just my PC, but all 4 machines at home onto it..
That's it.. :-)
Many thanks
Steve
