Alright. I havnt touched linux for quite a while, so yes im a newbie now.
I getting the urdge to get into debian. Im downloading the 2 dvds for intel.
I have windows xp and multiple drives partitioned on one serial atadrive.
Now heres my questions:
1. How should I distribute 35.1GB of space for when i set up the drives. ( Deleteing one of my partitioned drives. )
2. I want to use usb stick to boot, instead of kernal that makes you choose when you boot up and you have 5 seconds. I been reading a bit, it says 128mb, and do all this stuff.
http://www.debian.org/releases/stabl...h04s04.html.en
It says i need 128mb stick... But I dont want it to install it. I just want it to boot? Is there a better guide? How big stick do you reccomend? and when it says those commands is that on the debian cd when its running?
Thanks so much sorry, I didnt know if this needed to be in newbie section but this concerns debian.
Cheers
