How to automate a service in debian


Hello guys. i am trying to automate a service but i dont know how to do it. I am automating a library system and there are services that have to start at the startup (during boot). How will i make this service to run at the startup in debian?

Normally for systems like red hat, fedora, etc, you would use chkconfig. In debian, you use update-rc.d. Read the man page here for more information - http://www.tin.org/bin/man.cgi?secti...ic=update-rc.d
