help installing rox-filer

hi all...i just recently switched from slackware-current to debian sarge. i was wanting to know if anyone has had luck installing rox-filer as it is my favorite and i use it all the time. i tried the unstable version that is available through apt-get but it seemed really buggy with no option to save my preferences. i tried to install from source but i get an error saying:

gtk+-2.0 (version >= 2.2.0) is not installed.

any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

I have also used rox-filer and have not had any problems using it. I put it in my .xsession which looks like this,

#!/bin/sh

rox-filer --pinboard=MyPinboard &
xscreensaver &
exec icewm-session

This will start rox, xscreensaver and icewm when the computer boots up. Just replace what I start with what you want to start.

Goodluck

how did you install yours? did you do a source install or an apt-get? thats more my question. i can run the apr-get version available under unstable but find it kind of buggy. where i'm having problems is trying to install a source version.

I used apt-get. Rox is only available in unstable now, I am not sure why because I am sure I use to get it in testing just a month ago. Don't seem to be noticing anything unusual, but I may not be pushing it.
