GLIBC_2.4-related problems

Hi everybody:

I was trying to install this package called "rar" - user to unarchive .rar files. I got a few issues of concern.
  1. ./rar: /lib/tls/i686/cmov/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.4' not found (required by ./rar)
  2. Debian etch does not have this package on the sources list

From where do I get the package - GLIBC_2.4 - now? Are there any other good softwares to unarchive .rar files? Actually, I have installed unrar-free on Debian, but it gives me the same errors again and again.
Code:
Deepu :: unrar-free -x VMware.Workstation.v6.0.0.45731.Linux.Incl.Keymaker-ZWT.rar

unrar 0.0.1 Copyright (C) 2004 Ben Asselstine, Jeroen Dekkers

Extracting from /home/deepu/softwares-and-libraries/applications/VMware.Workstation.v6.0.0.45731.Linux.Incl.Keymaker-ZWT.rar
Extracting  file_id.diz                                               Failed
Extracting  keygen.exe                                                Failed
Extracting  setup.tar.gz                                              Failed
Extracting  zwt.nfo                                                   Failed
4 Failed
Any help is appreciated.

Add "non-free" to the repo-lines in sources.list and try "unrar" instead of "unrar-free"
