Ext3

Is it true that there isn't ext3 support in Debian? I would have wanted to install it but I couldn't find ext3 support anywehere? Does current Debian kernel (that is distributed with newest Debian) support ext3? I have already partitions ready so can I install Debian to ext3 partition?

Kernel 2.2 does not support ext3, but 2.4 does. Check out this thread for help on installing Debian using 2.4 and ext3:

When installing you have to type "bf24" at the boot prompt. Otherwise you'll get an ancient kernel.
