At the risk of being criticised I am posting to ask about where I might locate good quality documentation for Debian.
I have looked at the various documentation links on the Wiki e.g.
https://www.debian.org/doc/user-manuals#quick-reference and in particular the Debian Reference and the Debian FAQ. Whilst these are fairly readable I have found the rest of the Wiki to be of variable quality and somewhat disjointed.
For example trying to search for comprehensive information about time settings, system clock , hardware clock etc led me to
https://wiki.debian.org/DateTime?act...esearch=Titles. Whilst this is useful it is not comprehensive - contrasted with the detailed Arch Wiki documentation on this same topic
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/time which even goes so far as to explain how to adjust a windows system to optimise a dual boot system.
I really like Debian and would like to understand it better but I find the lack of "joined-up" documentation very frustrating - in fact I am tempted to consider Arch ( the documentation seems particularly good) but it seems like a lot of work to get Arch set up especially when Debian is so much easier to install.
What do you think about Debian documentation? Do you agree/disagree? Any suggestion for good sources ?
