Debian wireless IBM Thinkpad T42

OK so i've no wireless on debian 6.0 on a IBM Thinkpad T42.

I love debian but for some reason I cannot get wireless to work on a thinkpad!!!

I've uploaded a hardinfo output if that would help!

Basically I've loaded up all the drivers I think I'm suppose to but could someone help me here go through it.

I've added the Intel IPW2100 chip module/driver I think.

Thank a million,
Derry Manley

P.S. Ubuntu works fine.

The above is what you need to install.

Wireless in my R40:
Intel PRO/Wireless LAN 2100 3B Mini PCI Adapter driver: ipw2100

Wouldn't hurt to install firmware-linux-nonfree as well as firmware-ipw2x00.

Thanks for all the help,

I had all these drivers installed etc...

But what i didn't know was that I was using "Network Monitor" so i installed "network manager" and everything worked.

Not sure why, could someone explain that?

But it's working now.

Thanks,
Derry
