i know a little bit bout live-helper, but it would be good if youd add some more info:
with which exact command did you run lh_config;
did you run it as root ?
you got a bit more of the error-message (iirc the error-messages are pretty short and nearly useless...)
which branch you are running on (stable,testing or unstable) and which one you try to create?
ok, as long as youre running it as root i aint got no further ideas besides changing the lh_conf
