Debian KDE login

Hello is there any way to have an "windows XP" style for logins where someone clicks on a picture and types in the password to be able to login.
The reason why i am asking is i finally convinced my wife to let me put linux on her pc. I love debian and i want to be able to have different users such as one for my wife and 1 for my 5 year old. I hate to have to make him learn how to type a username and password when all he does now in windows is just click on his name with the picture of the soccer ball and he is able to get to noggin, nick jr etc etc.
all my wife does is surf the net and email. My son just plays on the kids website.
Please let me know if there is a way to do this in KDE or Gnome.
I perfer KDE cause my wife is used to windows and its a similiar display.

Thanks
Jeff

Are you using kdm or gdm? (Are you using GNOME or KDE?)

If you're using kdm, you don't need to install a theme to get what you're looking for. Go to the KDE Control Center, click on System Administration > Login Manager, click the "Administrator Mode" button, put in your root password, and click the "Users" tab. On the right-hand side, you'll see a "User Images" control, which acts a bit out of the ordinary. From the "User:" drop-down list, select whichever user you want to assign an icon to, and then click the box below it, which will bring up a selection of icons from /usr/share/apps/kdm/pics/users.

If you want to set a user to auto-login, you can do that, too, in the "Convenience" tab, but it's a security hole and not recommended.

If you want to use kdm themes easily, make sure you've got the "kdmtheme" and "kde-kdm-themes" packages installed. Then you can install and configure themes from within the KDE Control Center (usually right above the "Login Manager" control).
