create an offline repo with a distro flavor different of the current one

Hi, I want to create an offline repo (using aptonCD) to update my debian etch to sid in a machine that i use at work. So, at home I'm using Debian Lenny and I'm very happy with this flavor distro, I don't want to upgrade at home. So my questions are:

1. at home, is possible to create the offline repos using Sid's repos without upgrade my Lenny?
2. in case of yes, can you tell me how?

Regards

Herbert

first of all, SID is not really an upgrade...SID is unstable and should not be used for production applications. Lenny is the current stable release. Additionally, I would recommend using Squeeze ( testing) which contains more updated applications and binaries than Lenny. It is usually is not broken and if it is broken, it is fixed quite rapidly. I do not recommend SID (Unstable) for any production work. Additionally, I do not recommend it unless you are sure you know what you are doing...
