Hello!
I've bought a Compro M1F Analog TV Tuner. It works fine in windows (xp and 7) but it doesn't work under Debian Lenny. TVTime shows a blue screen with no image or sound. What steps should I follow to see if this card can be configured correctly with my Debian box?
The module loads fine, it autodetects your card (as card=139 in dmesg) and fails after that.
I would unload the module and reload it with the card parameter. The entire listing of the supported cards and their numbers is located in /usr/share/doc/linux-doc-(your_kernel_version)/Documentation/video4linux/CARDLIST.saa7134.gz.
Code:
modprobe saa7134 card=139
The above file is included in the linux-doc-(your_kernel_version) package, and it contains the following regarding Compro cards
Thanks for your reply!
Mi kernel version is: 2.6.26-2 x64.
How do I unload the module currently running and upload the new one? (I guess modprobe is to reload but can't figure out how to unload).
Thanks for your help. I will be expecting your answer.

Keep in mind that saa7134 may have other (child) modules loaded, ones that will make it work properly, so you will have to unload them in turn, before unloading the main one, like
Thanks for you reply!
I will give this a try to see what happens. Maybe I have to update the kernel. How can I do so without reinstalling Debian?
Thanks again,
