bootable disk with grub

Hi

I have a duel Os WinDos on hda1, Debian on hda2 and Debian on hdb1. hdb1 is my usual login OS. I only use Grub, what is the command to make a bootable disk. a quick googling and man grub was not that helpful.

thanks.

you mean create a floopy that will boot your system? Try this

Code:
 # cd /usr/lib/grub/i386-pc
 # dd if=stage1 of=/dev/fd0 bs=512 count=1
  1+0 records in
  1+0 records out
 # dd if=stage2 of=/dev/fd0 bs=512 seek=1
  153+1 records in
  153+1 records out
 #
/dev/fd0 should be your floppy disk drive. If anythings on that disk it will be destroyed. This basically copies the stage1 and stage2 parts of grub to the floopy, which will boot you right into grub. and load everthing as it usually does.

I did actually find this in the manual Creating a GRUB boot floppy.
