you mean create a floopy that will boot your system? Try this

# dd if=stage1 of=/dev/fd0 bs=512 count=1

# dd if=stage2 of=/dev/fd0 bs=512 seek=1
153+1 records in
153+1 records out

/dev/fd0 should be your floppy disk drive. If anythings on that disk it will be destroyed. This basically copies the stage1 and stage2 parts of grub to the floopy, which will boot you right into grub. and load everthing as it usually does.
