apt-get -f install problem

I'm sort of stuck in a bind here. Someone please help me out it would be appreciated.

Code:
root@superubercool:~# apt-get install
Reading Package Lists... Done
Building Dependency Tree... Done
You might want to run `apt-get -f install' to correct these.
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
kdeedu: Depends: klettres but it is not installed
Depends: kstars but it is not installed
  libwine-print: Depends: libwine (= 0.0.20040505-1) but 0.0.20040615-1 is installed
  libwine-twain: Depends: libwine (= 0.0.20040505-1) but 0.0.20040615-1 is installed
  wine-utils: Depends: libwine (= 0.0.20040505-1) but 0.0.20040615-1 is installed
E: Unmet dependencies. Try using -f.
root@superubercool:~# apt -get -f install
bash: apt: command not found
root@superubercool:~# apt-get -f install

The following extra packages will be installed:

"root@superubercool:~# apt-get install"

what??????????? what are you trying to install?
what version of Debian are you in? woody, sarge, or sid?

"E: Unmet dependencies. Try using -f."
are you trying to install the correct package for the Debian version you are running?

Assuming you are installing the correct package for the correct debian version:

apt-get update
apt-get -f install

do that 2-3 times

Also the APT-HOWTO has an example of this, that will explain which package is giving you trouble.

APT-HOWTO
http://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/ap.../index.en.html

see section 7 How to deal with errors

Use dpkg -i --force-overwrite /var/cache/apt/archives/klettres_4%3a3.1.5-2_i386.deb /var/cache/apt/archives/kstars_4%3a3.1.5-2_i386.deb you are getting an error unpacking those packages because some of the files exists in another package and are already installed so it is a packaging mistake/bug.
