[Debian] Shortcut on the Desktop that loads on Virtual screen x

Is it possible with Debian 4.r4 to create a
shortcut on the desktop that loads the program
into a certain Virtual Screen .

I have FOUR Virtual Screens available

I would like TightVNC to load on 3
and Skype to load on 4

I checked the shortcut properties but
it does not give the advanced options I
was wanting.

In KDE you can use the "special window (or application) settings" to specify which desktop a program will appear on. The settings are accessible through the kde control center or the upper left corner window icon. I'm not sure if there's a more general way to do it outside of kde, but I'd guess it's dependent on which window manager/desktop environment you use.

I forgot to mention that the GUI I am using in Linux is
Gnome v2.14.3 .
