Display problems

I recently acquired DSL 2.2 with the intent of performing a frugal install on my laptop which uses an ATI Radeon IGP 320M as the graphics card which has a max resolution of 1024x768. When I try to boot it from CD, though, I get nothing in the display. When I use the failsafe option, it stops at
Code:
ACPI: IRQ9 SCI: Level Trigger
and then hangs. I went through every possible display option I could use and I got nothing.

And the thing is that this isn't the first time this has happened on this laptop. I had the same result when I tried to run Feather Linux. And the strange thing is that DSL 2.0 worked on my laptop.

radical

i believe this it to do with the kernel. acpi....

i guess 2.0 had a different kernel.

that said it seems strang when you select failsafe....
i believe if you try the "acpi=off" option this will work.

press F2 and F3 at boot time to see what i mean.
