Can't See. . . Argh

I just booted DSL for the first time on my very old Dell Laptop (380XD), and well. . . I'm less than impressed. I can't see or read a thing! The desktop is blurred and pixelated, the font is illegible and everything is bright green and/or white. I have no idea how to change this because I can't find any properties or settings. Someone please help!

You've to configure your X-server. Quit X (ctrl + alt + backspace) and then run "xsetup.sh" at the terminal.

Try pressing 'F2' when you first boot up and see the DSL logo instead of 'enter'. Then enter one of the commands on the top of the screen, for example 'fb1024x768', for whichever resolution your screen should be. When it asks you if you want xvesa or framebuffer (I think that's what they're called, forgot the exact names) choose framebuffer. Hope this helps.
