boot usb-stick with DSL floppy image

hi,

due to my old Bios settings it is not possible for me to boot with my usb stick directly, so I have to use the floppyimage-usb from DSL.
I got it working and DSL booted from my usb stick with help of the floppy image. But after the boot process my mouse and touchpad are not working, also there were several error messages during the boot process, it said that some modules were missing, unfortunately I don't have a log, so I cannot say which modules, can somebody help?
I used this documentation:
http://www.damnsmalllinux.org/wiki/index.php/Boot_Floppies

I really want to use DSL because I only have a 128 usb stick and no boot option for USB boot, so I am pretty much restricted to DSL Linux, or does somebody know another distribution to use?

thanks

puppy has another boot floppy to usb stick you d/l the cdrom and it is called wakepup

2) puppy has just gone version 4.

getting back to your dsl, you need better kernel drivers...if puppy is not helpful then choose which one is fastest and offers the best range of packages and compile a kernel with your extra drivers

the beauty of kernels is that can be built for another distro...but you need to read the dsl or puppy on what features it uses especially things like the filesystem format it needs and most need some form of ram loop drivers as well
