about updates: the last update that i have notice of, took place on 2003-03-03 19:30:00 and was a fix for a remote vulnerability found on the sendmail package.
if you'd like to be e-mailed every time that a new update is made available, you could subscribe to Conectiva's updates mailing list. Just send an empy e-mail to atualizacoes-anuncio-subscribe@papal...nectiva.com.br

grey windows and in the upper left corner a shell! if i write starkde i say that couldn't not localize kdeinit!
with synaptic it says me i have broken dependecies, and it suggest to correct them! But it will remove 13 essential package! (apt too!) and 54x other package!
it s a good idea to install conectiva again with minimal (s.o only) and than use snapnshot to upgrade and install packages?

Yes, will be a faster way to solve your problem. But if you wait just a little more will be released an oficial version of CL9, that will contatin an intaller to made that installation easier ...
It has several updates, like the one I posted earlier, if you didn't notice, and was released too the versions CL8+ and CL8++, that was in editions of "Revista do Linux" magazine ...
