Planning of using Centos


im planning of using Centos in our servers.... as an alternative for Whitebox or REdhat....
has anyone here used centos as their dns,email, web and file server??

Yes, CentOS-3 works extremely well for server work. I've been running it for weeks now and haven't had any problems with the OS at all.

The updates seem to come out faster than Whitebox and the community appears to be much more helpful.

Whereas communication in the Whitebox community seems to center around their mailing lists, the CentOS community is online at irc.freenode.net almost constantly.

It is RHEL reborne...

the server now runs smoothly... i cant wait to see it in action in the production....
