Wrong keyboard or why I hate to be not at home

Posted 01-07-2010 at 04:17 PM by Web31337

We're having a hardcore repair of floor and walls at home now.
yesterday after i spent a day in a stinky flat(after we painted a floor) i decided to move to my friend's place(from where i'm VNCed now). I needed to work.

the problem is not only because my friend runs windows and i can't copy files to my server(i can only move them to my webserver so i fetch them from here) or do any other simple operation, but the wrong desktop, the wrong keyboard and mouse. it's not mine, i can't really work with it... on unix boxes i exchange content with my server using sftp(ssh), i can't really do it with putty, and im too lazy to look for an sftp client. i remember seeing something on sf.net at a time... anyways, windows is a stupid OS can do nothing, except for running games(which linux does very good as well, the problem is there aren't too much games for unix). i can still manage to work on it, but... windows+wrong place=EPIC FAIL, which i can't resist.
