I was reading a hilarious blog, written in Greek though http://www.dotnetzone.gr/cs/blogs/zaxarias/archive/2006/10.aspx about a software developer working on the .net framework and being pressured all the time by his 40 managers (and the only software developer in the company) for project's deadlines and overall I found my self laughing pretty hard till they hired a young graduate where he was listening to death metal thinking that only Lisp is the best language and screaming Linux Rulez!
hehe what I'm asking my self is how I acted and if is this the image I, as a linux user and the others are giving to the rest people. I mean are we all the time, here we have gimp instead of photoshop, vlc instead of windows media player, mono instead of .net ,blah blah blah. But we should act like here: we have gimp for image editing, Mono as an excellent framework etc. We should not be trying to pursuade others that Linux is trying to reach windows but to convince them that there are not only alternatives but better and more innovating apps out there.
Anyway just a thought that I should, too , stop acting like a mad, drug affected football hooligan.

I agree on that , it reminded me of an interview with Moby where he said about the same thing this way :
... I think that the best way to try to change people's minds about things is by respectfully providing them with information and using yourself as an example. Whenever I've gone on a tirade and yelled at people to try to change their beliefs, they usually just end up responding by being defensive. So now, I'm still just as committed to trying to make the world a better place -- I just don't necessarily want to scream at people in the process.Posted 12-31-1969 at 07:00 PM by vangelis
