Six year hiatus and Where I am Now

It seems I've accidentally taken a six year hiatus from blog posts on Linux Questions. That was not my intention. I just have three other blogs and they have taken precedence.
So, now I'm running Slackware64 on all our servers. I retired the last Slackware 12.2 (32-bit) box earlier this year. The date was May 14th, for those keeping track.
Yesterday we retired our last Drupal 6 box and now use WordPress as our CMS. I still have a lot to learn about WordPress, but we're finding it much easier to use and support than Drupal.
I once read the following signature from a Drupal fan: "Drupal is a jet fighter; WordPress is a couch." I must agree: WordPress is much more useful in most circumstances and doesn't require a team of skilled techs to keep it running.
Even Drupal lovers admit that Drupal is not a CMS, but a Content Management Framework from which a CMS may be built (reference). We don't have the time or resources to build Drupal into what we want. WordPress just works, we'll go with it.
Happy (US) Thanksgiving to All! Gobble gobble!
