Intermediate C - getch-term

Posted 03-31-2012 at 03:27 AM by rainbowsally
Updated 04-09-2012 at 12:23 PM by rainbowsally (bum list bullets fixed)

Intermediate. That doesn't mean you have to be an intermediate C programmer to use this. It just means that it will probably be more understandable to those who are at about this level of programming skill.

Features:
  • getch()
  • simple ansi sequence to keycode converter
  • expandable

There are several versions of getch()-like functionalities on the net but none of them handle ansi sequences well (or at all) and none of them are very clear as to what they do or why.

Posted 03-25-2012 at 02:16 PM by rainbowsally
Updated 04-19-2012 at 02:02 PM by rainbowsally (Note about obsolete makefile-creator and replacement)

[Note: makefile-creator was far too limited and has been replaced by mc2, makefile-creator the 2nd generation. All the sources can be downloaded at once here:

There may be some differences in the libLQ functions as well, but they should be easily spotted (need '&' prefix, and readPipe() has been renamed pipeRead() for purposes of alphabetically listing by...

f2c (with makefiles) and xfoil (that converges correctly in VISC mode).

For advanced programmers or folks that don't have 500 bucks for an air foil simulator/analyzer.

Features:
  • Bug fix(es) for f2c and xfoil retro apps.
  • Example of how to f2c when INC files mix data and declarations.
  • Example of a make system that builds its own uninstaller.
  • XPlot11 (included, renamed libPlt, but easily changed again.
  • The first of many reasons to install in a sandbox like

libLQ and/or Temp (recycling) formatted strings and blocks of memory

Posted 02-26-2012 at 11:02 AM by rainbowsally
Updated 05-06-2012 at 05:48 AM by rainbowsally

[Note: this refers to an obsolete implementation of the temp strings and libLQ sources but the concept of being able to pass a buffer containing a formatted string directly in the parameter list makes this both interesting and important regardless.

Also the peek into the asm code may be helpful for folks wishing to get into the really low level stuff. See how we can redirect a call to sprintf() instead of calling vsprintf() below. This may not be portable but then neither can QT...

Updated 04-09-2012 at 05:32 AM by rainbowsally

This was an older version of libLQ and the old makefile-creator. Both of these have been extensively reworked and expanded.
