libLQ and mc2 (makefile-creator2, the next generation)

Updated 08-06-2014 at 11:23 AM by rainbowsally (new version)

This project is currently stalled but may be useful for folks that don't like C++.

The new libLQ-qt (3.0) and mc2 (bundled) can be downloaded here.

http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...support-34783/

If you DON'T want the qt support continue reading. If you do, pls use the link above.

This is now ancient stuff, but it's simple and if you are new to C, this might be interesting to analyze.

-----------------------------------------

The templates, -run, and -create files can probably be scavenged if you want them for the older version(s) posted here on this page (below). The libs can live together ok, but the mc2 versions are incompatible. See the link page above.

STALLED DEVELOPMENT ->

Latest:
  • Apr 29, 2012 libLQ 1.1.4
  • May 26, 2012 mc2 2.0.09
mc2 is a user-modifiable automatic Makefile generator that creates PROJECT (recursive), MULTI (each source = an executable), and simple makefiles with incremental linkage and automatic tracking of changes in source files. (I.e., adds and removes files from the makefile when you add them or remove them from the source dir.)

Makefiles that are created by other utilities can be added to an mc2 project by creating a type NONE mc2.def file. It's quite easy once you get used to not having to work so hard.

:-)

libLQ is a set of functions that give C/C++ something of the functionality of a shell with some differences. It's needed by mc2 in any case and includes some handy utilities in the examples folders that you might want to hang on to.

See download links below:

mc2 Update
Latest mc2 2.0.10 (~/bin sandbox)

  • Corrected CFLAGS for -fPIC in dyn-32 template
  • Removed redundant 'update' target in same.

----------------------------------

libLQ is relocatable, but if you put it in /usr/local or someplace, pls also change the name at least until we're done playing with it here.

Here's the download link.

---------------------------------

Older versions of these downloads are moved to the obs folder under lq at the dload links.

There is currently no index file but if you know the version of an older version it's still there, just moved.
