I might be running for President

It has been a while, since I blogged. I didn't have time, with 6 kids and way too many summer plans. I installed Kubuntu after a hard drive crash, replacing Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. Wow, felt like going back to the Microsoft Environment (Yuck!).

Kubuntu made me wonder how long -- until the planet encompasses Linux, looking back at an era of hampered computing due Billy's brain fart (MS). I have been spreading Linux in my neighborhood, better and faster than any flu-virus. People love it, mostly non-gamers, and small businesses. Hence even my own Momma(67) is using Linux. She is shocking her Internet Help desk (when her connection is down) when she tells them rookies that she is using Linux. Lol

As for my programming efforts. I have decided to devote a couple of years to the 'OPEN' community. That is Open CV and OpenGL. Well that decision made stock holders of Amazon Llc. very happy. I discovered that my Math, Geometry, Trigonometry and Algebra knowledge somehow suffered from the FIFO syndrome of the early '80's (too much beer pushing that knowledge out of my memory tubes), so I decided to purchase some Math books for refreshing my brain. I also purchased Mathematics for 3D Game Programming and several OpenGl/CV books. I am impressed, if not flabbergasted by the complexity of for example SVGA Cards and how them real world games work!

My new goal is to understand Vision (as David Marr explains it in his book 'Vision'), then I'd like to develop some new algorithms for the Linux based CV community, and eventually program something for the AI community enabling camera's to sift through images and do pattern detection, as fast and correct as our brain does. I might as well run for President, that's how easy this looks....
