Ginkgo USB-CAN Part 4

Posted 02-25-2019 at 11:26 PM by Indymaynard

Another post? Is this guy crazy? Yeah, probably. I hit a positive point in the project, and that helps. Look, between other electronics stuff, guitar, running, drinking, and whatever else, I carved out some time to progress.

Tonight was productive. I learned a lot of cool things. I am going to copy-paste the stuff from notepad (don't judge me, I was lazy) that I discovered. This stuff may only apply to the 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee, so be aware of that. I discovered some codes that can be injected to the CAN network to do different things. Since I have not had a lot of luck with the Google on getting this data, I thought it would be appropriate to share for others. Below is the stuff I figured out. Use at your own risk.

Code:
11D 00 02 00 - Blinkers off
     08 02 00 - Left Blinker On
     10 02 00 - Right Blinker On
     02 02 00 - Brights on
     40 02 00 - Brights briefly on
006 00 22 1C 3C 3C 02 58 - Hazards Off
     03 22 1C 3C 3C 02 58 - Hazards On
003 00 05 80 00 50 FC 00 - Brakes off (Lights only?)
     00 05 80 01 50 FC 00 - Brakes
370 00 00 00 00 00 00 - Wipers off
     01 00 00 00 00 00 - Wipers on
210 03 00 - Lights off (Auto)
     03 C8 - Running lights on

1C8 03 - Fog lamps off
     13 - Fog lights on
1AC 02 through 09 - Cabin Lights timer (Less is 09)
     01 - Cabin Lights on
020 01 - Remote unlock
400 FD 02 3F FF FF FF FF FF - Idle liftglass ?
012 00 00 00 40 00 00 - Idle liftglass ?
     05 01 00 40 C3 0C - Remote liftglass
It seems that I have made a pretty significant progress. I would also like to point out that the folks at viewtool are pretty good. They responded really quickly to a message, and with way more data than I expected to get. Also, they don't pay me. Bummer.

Any data that anyone can add to this would be great. I really am looking for the stuff that gets displayed on the dashboard, so I feel like it would be awesome if someone had the data to do that.

I also will gladly try to help anyone with the code above. Just let me know.
