CruxEX (CRUX 3.1) live USB, build 141017, with kernel 3.17.1

Posted 10-17-2014 at 02:24 PM by exton

CruxEX 3.1 2014 64 bit Linux Live USB is based on CRUX 3.1 (latest version, released 140716), which is all Linux enthusiasts/nerds favorite OS. (CRUX 3.1 is a lightweight Linux distribution for the x86_64 architecture targeted at experienced Linux users). CruxEX 3.1 2014 uses the LXDE Desktop environment. I have replaced the original CRUX kernel 3.12.24 with “my” special kernel 3.17.1-x86_64-cruxex, with support for “extra everything”.

NEWS 141017
Install my new version of CruxEX 3.1 64bit from 141017 to a USB Pen Drive and save your system changes – read this INSTRUCTION. If you later on decide you want to install CruxEX to hard drive from the USB Pen Drive all your system changes will also be installed to the hard drive. The installation to hard drive takes about 5 min. It is done during a live session. Please note that CRUX - the original system - contains neither Xfce, Fluxbox, Gnome, KDE, LXDE, or any other Desktop environment (from the start).

Unique
CruxEX 3.1 2014 build 141017 is - as my previous CRUX-remasters - unique in the world. I.e. there is no other CRUX Live CD/USB in any language (as far as I know). In any case, not for downloading.
