HDMI no sound

Hi,

I have compiled a vanilla kernel to speed up boot time. I use pulseaudio and laptop sound works fine except when I choose HDMI output.
When I play some music, with Grooveshark, starts forwarding the song very fast and there is no sound.

I have started pulseaudio with : pulseaudio -vvvvv and the output when HDMI is selected and it's playing some music is:

http://pastebin.com/mAzL4G5L

This output is repeated over and over again when playing.

I have look for kernel modules related to the intel HDMI sound, and I think that I have selected everyone.

The kernel version is 3.17.2.

The output from lspci -vv :

http://pastebin.com/7amtiJ5T

Ouput from aplay -l
http://pastebin.com/WuJLZXDL

Thank you for everything in advance

There's a bug with that issue - search for uit. It came up here a week or two ago.

I don't find any post in this forum related to problems with HDMI sound... I will make a better search.
I've seen in a google search many bug reports of this problem but all of them where related with old kernel versions.
Also I found some fixes that they didn't work for me...

Thank you

I haven't bothered with pulseaudio in far too long to be of much use to you. You do have 2 soundcards - maybe the video card is one - and you will have to be sure you are getting sound from the right one.

It looks as though the hdmi has kicked the vt1802 into second place. sound defaults to snd-card-0, iirc. I had that issue, and lost sound from my box once, but was able to get over it with a few aliases in /etc/modprobe.d

alias snd_card_0 this_module
alias snd_card_1 that_module

Also worth checking that via support is enabled on the hda_intel module. greo the /boot/config-kernel_version, which is the kernel .config file.

grep SND_HDA <config file>
