Well... to be fair, if this REALLY was the question, the only thing I could answer would be Internet Explorer, as more often than not I'm on my Windows installation
Even then, I still would prefer IE given the choices, but I'm sure I'm alone with that thought. Like it matters anyway, Firefox will win and there's no point in arguing it. My vote would have to go with Konquerer as it's the only linux browser I care about.

fire fox for now BUT, us gov writes some of thier web sites for ie7 and this cost me and my friend $$$$$$.
after deciding on my ver of Linux , i'll be checking some of these other browsers out..can not afford more $$$$losses
Firefox gets my vote for #1 but Konqueror is my second browser of choice. I think maybe you should put the text browsers in their own category since I don't believe they can compete fairly with the graphical ones.

Really? I've not had that problem. Some gov sites say they only support IE, but I've had no issues with viewing/interacting with them. The only problem I've had so far with Firefox has been with certain sites that require software downloads that are for Windows only and/or require MS-DRM support. I.E.- CMT, Webshots, MySpace, etc. And then I only receive an error message that their site won't work with my OS/browser.
Cheers

Seems droll to post that I use and loveFirefox , after reading all the comments on this page , but I doKonqueroris second , and in the short time (6 Months)I've been using just realising what an amazing bit of Software it is , as far as being a web Browser , File manager , and whatever else it can do
I have only ever come across one website which as totally incompatible with Opera, Konqueror, Safari, Lynx and the Mozilla family. It was the HR website of an English hospital which for some bizarre reason had decided that all job applications should be done online. They got a scathing phone call and letter, I didn't get the job and it still doesn't work.
Opera - the one and only. Everybody else was copying it.
Remove stupid ads - two clicks
Remove cache - click
Fill forms - click
open new tab - one mouse movement
close all pictures/ prevent pictures from downloading - click
search - how fast do you type?
irc/chat/mail if you want - ok, i need to go to the menu and select it
Nowdays various browsers have various subsets of this features. Opera was first in most of them. I remember when Firefox was emerging that proponents of the Fox were slamming Opera as a non-free product displaying ads. From that time onwards ads disappeared (unfortunately). They were so cool: "Buy Opera today, and make this banner go away!" Guys were actually doing a counterfavour to themselves, banners were so cool that I would never buy Opera to get rid of thos ads.
