unable to install xfce

Hi,

I am running PCBSD on my system.
I am having a problem when I try to install xfce.
I am slightly confused as to which directory to choose from in /usr/ports. There are about 4-5 directories that match $make search name=xfce. So I downloaded the installer .bin file from the xfce home page.
When I executed the .bin file as su, I got the following error message -
_______________________________________________________________________________

Verifying file integrity... OK.
Extracting the installer... OK.
Checking for usable C compiler... gcc
Checking for usable C++ compiler... g++
Checking for GNU make... gmake
Checking for package config tool... pkg-config
Checking for GLib (GModule) >= 2.2.0... detected 2.6.6 in /usr/local
Checking for Gtk+ >= 2.2.0... not found, see /home/aditya/.xfce4.installer-log for details
Cleaning up... OK

_______________________________________________________________________________

So where do I get Gtk+ (>=2.2.) from? If there is any other information required, I can provide.

Eagerly awaiting your suggestions,

You get the error because you downloaded from their site and didn't use the ports.

The XFCE you want is located:
Code:
/usr/ports/x11-wm/xfce4

I've never used PCBSD and I don't know if they have changed anything which might break some ports. Nonetheless, try:
Code:
# make clean && make install
If that fails, update your ports tree; if that fails completely remove /usr/ports and rebuild it.

Thanks for the reply. I did -
Code:
$ sudo portupgrade -f glib-2\*
and then everything went on smoothly.
