KDE 4 pad cursor frozen on bootup

HI,

I am using a IBM Think pad T61. I have installed Freebsd 7.1 from a DVD I got. I have been able to start KDE4, and after it boots the cursor is frozen.I have rebooted a few times. Any ideal how to troubleshoot this. Thanks

/var/log/Xorg.0.log ?

you have these in /etc/rc.conf

dbus_enable="YES"
hald_enable="YES"
