Intel IPW2200BG

Hello,

I'm running FreeBSD 6 and I have followed the guide about iwi-firmware here, i still cant use it, somehow, whenever i enter my info to ifconfig the status stay at "no carrier" nothing on dmesg, what ive done so far
Code:
# cd /usr/ports/net/iwi-firmware && make install clean

# kldload -v wlan_wep
# kldload -v if_iwi

# echo "if_iwi_load=\"YES\"" >> /boot/loader.conf
# echo "wlan_wep_load=\"YES\"" >> /boot/loader.conf

# iwicontrol -i iwi0 -d /boot/firmware -m bss

# ifconfig iwi0 inet 192.168.2.3 netmask 255.255.255.0 ssid Gandalf wepkey 0xEA64B3D6ECD3A48AB87687B862 weptxkey 1 wepmode on channel 10

# ifconfig iwi0 up

# ifconfig iwi0
iwi0: flags=8843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> mtu 1500
        inet6 fe80::20e:35ff:fe75:95f2%iwi0 prefixlen 64 scopeid 0x2
        inet 192.168.2.3 netmask 0xffffff00 broadcast 192.168.2.255
        ether 00:0e:35:75:95:f2
        media: IEEE 802.11 Wireless Ethernet autoselect
        status: no carrier
        ssid Gandalf channel 10
        authmode OPEN privacy ON deftxkey 1 wepkey 1:104-bit txpowmax 100
        protmode CTS
oh well as you can see everything seems to be good except it's not going up it stays disconnected, any ideas please? i tried everything even a clean install

Try changing your ifconfig line just slightly:

wepkey 1:0xblah...blah...blah

Does that help?

Cheers--
