Do a 'man ifconfig' for complete details.

Thanks man.

I will take a look at ifconfig.

But i doubt whether it would allow me to change the mode of operation.

PS: I am yet to install the BSDs. So just wondering if I can change the mode. Without changing my LAN Card setting to 10MBPS HD, I can't get internet running.

Do the man ifconfig, and look for media and mediaopt flags. These will allow (depending on the driver, of course) changing the card's operation as you are looking for (half-duplex, etc.).

Cheers--
