Exim queue problem
I am running Exim on FreeBSD 4.9 and have a large amount of emails on the queue, all spam messages. A lot of the emails have been there for 80+ days. We run virtual webs on the server, and it appears that the server is sending the message out that the messages have been delayed. The email addresses are not valid email addresses, but in the delay message it says "Delay reason: file_transport unset in virtuals router". In the virtual config files, I do have
*: /dev/null set, which should take any invalid email addresses that come in and put them in the bit bucket, at least that's what I believe should be happening. Is there something else that I should have setup to redirect the bogus emails to the bit bucket? One of the virtual webs is no longer with us, so can I remove it from the exim config file, then run exim -q (or some variation) to try and force the delivery of the emails, and will they then go to the bit bucket?
Thanks for any help
