Question SendMail Queue Problem

I am running RH 9.0 with sendmail.
Had some problems yesterday with my box. All incomming mail ended up in mqueue, but with a problem. When running mailq or sendmail -bp the system tells me there is no mail in the queue. But doing a ls on /var/spool/mqueue I can see all the mail sitting there.

Doing a sendmail -v -q does not help either.

Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks.
